  • Prince Albert still uncomfortable 10 years later

Posted by cadmium on June 15, 2021 at 4:45 pm

I got a prince albert when I was 18, and I’m 29 now. I gauged it up a few times in the first few years to try and make it a little more comfortable, but eventually just stopped wearing it. When wearing jeans especially I find that the area where the jewellery exits the urethra gets incredibly raw and sore sometimes and the only thing that seems to relieve it is taking it out.

What I’d like to know is if maybe wearing tighter/looser fitting underwear might help some. Has anyone got any experience with this? I’m wondering whether I could get a lower diameter ring for it or something. It’d be nice to wear it during sex or just day to day, but I don’t see that being possible with the pain it causes me.

Am I just too sensitive down there or what? And will wearing it more help, or not?

It might be the wrong piercing for you. Try a horseshoe or curved barbell. There is even flexible bars that you can bend to a shape you would want. Mess with it. I’d nothing works then retire it and try again.

I have my PA for almost 2 years now and I love the look and feel of it. After mine healed, I changed the CBR with a 10 G clicker ring. Very comfortable to wear for me. Plus, I like how a solid ring looks

    Hi there,

I had the same problem with my PA but eventually got it to stay and not get any more irritation. I experimented with many stainless steel manufacturers and avoided cheap SS that has nickel content. I found out my skin did not like a few barbells (circular with balls) and certain sizes. I eventuall settled on expensive titanium and left it as a 4gage because larger sizes tended to irritate the bottom hole and urethra. Now I wear it 24/7 without any issues. Also had the same issues with my apadrayva but found that a barbell in 4 gage was the max my dick could stand. Now this has also stabilized and were the bar 24/7 but I don’t wear undies, I go commando all the time and enjoy it thoroughly, My advise is to not give up and try several types of jewelry and metals that are body friendly, like those designated for implants.

    Good luck, see my pics

I have a 10mm Horseshoe PA piercing and find the weight a little uncomfortable when not wearing underpants, I wear Bonds s’port briefs (an Australian brand) which support the genitals and this relieves the discomfort.

I have also pierced the foreskin on each side and wear a curved barbell to close the foreskin through the PA to help support the weight

Modern pants seem to be tighter in the crotch than they used to be and they can be uncomfortable when sitting down as the piercing jewellery takes up mor space and the pants are pressing the soft flesh against the hard jewellery

I’ve had my PA for 29 years, got it at 35, now 64. Can’t remember having a problem. haven’t worn underwear since i was about 17, so can’t give an opinion on that. I say perceiver. If all else fails try some numbing cream around the hole. Only use it a couple of times a day for a while and see how it goes. As far as sex goes, my ex said it was highly erotic and she loved it as I went to the next size up. But be wary of having sex too early after up-sizing as the sensation is something else.
