Prince Albert (PA) Stretching

Hi there all. I am new to the scene and I have recently had a PA. I was pierced at 10g and once fully healed I wish to go to 8g. My question is: Once stretched, how long does the piercing take to heal before pain free (sexual intercourse or self stimulation can commence etc)? Is it a matter of days or is it months? I appreciate having done some research that you shouldn’t stretch a new piercing until fully healed but my question relates to a full healed PA and after a stretch. Many thanks in advance.
