Hi all, I have joined this forum so I can learn more about the apadravya piercing. I was ready to get one done a couple of years ago but the piercer talked me out of it. I wasn’t examined for it, but she said it could be risky if my urethra wasn’t straight which put me off getting it done. Since then and looking online I’ve never read about this as an issue. I’m getting my nipple re-pierced in June at a London studio and will speak to the piercer about an apadravya. I’m hoping it happens this time! What experiences have people had with this piercing?

It sounds like that piercer was not interested in doing the apadravya piercing for you. It was her way of saying no without saying no, it is pretty common technique with piercers and tattoo artists.

As for the piercing of the piercer is experienced and comfortable with you and providing the piercing there really should be no reason why you can have it done. If you are uncircumcised that could make the piercing more challenging. The only other rate reasons would be bad hygiene, other skin or biological alignments currently occurring down there or you are so small that a pencil looks huge against your penis.

Find that interested and experienced piercer and you should be set. Make sure you get a good guage as it will hea and feel better.

Thanks johnsjl79 – I’ve made an appointment to see another very experienced piercer in June. There was no examination last time so I’m guessing the piercer might not have felt comfortable doing it. No problems down there – I’ve been circumcised and my frenum has been removed, so that should make placement easier.
